Workday Business Processes

There are two (2) Workday business processes to support Flexible Work Arrangement:

1. Request Flexible Work Arrangement: To submit a request to your manager, and schedule days for telework.

2. Time Entry: The option to add Location: Remote Work under Additional Worktag when completing the Time Entry business process.

Required Telework Policy Training :

** Required Course** The City of Baltimore is committed to increasing employee productivity and improving talent recruitment by providing employees with work alternatives that enable employees to meet their personal and professional needs. Teleworking is a work alternative that the City offers to eligible employees when it is beneficial to both the City and its employees. In this training you will learning about eligibility for telework, types, terms, responsibilities, and more.

Additional Training Resources :

These courses, available to City employees through Workday Learning, are designed to improve work skills. Subjects range from “Building Customer Relationships in a Virtual Environment” to “Establishing Effective Virtual Teams.”  

A series of job aids and tip sheets are available to City employees to help everyone improve their digital skills. Support includes:  

  • Collaboration tools (like Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive)  

  • Productivity tools (like Excel and OneNote)  

  • Communication tools (like Outlook)  

City employees can also explore the Workday Learning Library and take recommended courses like: 

Topics cover everything from the basics (What is SharePoint?) to practical tips for individuals who manage SharePoint sites as workspaces. City Employees can take courses, and we encourage advanced users to participate in community discussions as a way to learn best practices and improve their skills.
